I'm a bit baffled by the negative reviews on here. I've been here three times-- I live in the north bay but try to come here whenever I take a friend to the airport and I really look forward to it. I think it's the best Burmese food I've had. I find the flavors to be unique and very interesting-- unlike anything I've ever had before anywhere. Maybe they're too unusual for some people, but I really like whatever it is they're doing. My only disappointment was a rainbow salad that I had once that had very weird flavors that I didn't like, but otherwise I've found everything I've had to be inventive and intriguing. I'll definitely be going back to explore their menu more!

So what made the experience for me is the waiter. He was super friendly and very great at giving us advice on which dish is great to choose. Although i know what is good i usually ask to see if the staff is knowledgable of the menu. We ordered the food and of course it was delicious! We sat outside on a nice warm day and it was a great to sit there and chat. Great place for a date and to catch up with friends.

hands down my favorite dish at rangoon ruby so far! i love the crunchiness of the shrimp, the freshness of the string beans w/ the savory sauce, and the added heat that touches your tongue from the jalapeño. i've tried the burmese pad thai as well - it's much saucier and sweeter than your typical thai pad thai. but overall, really enjoyed the tofu option! would definitely suggest trying the shrimp!

Food was delicious & unique. I like that my coconut pudding came in a real coconut. Staff was very nice. We came in a less busy time so place was a bit quiet which is nice.
